PRESS RELEASE - Base Structures enters the bioenergy market with its new Biogas Storage device.
January 10, 2011
With capacities ranging from 5m3 to 5,000m3, our Biogas Holders are designed to regulate the delivery of the methane gas that is produced from the anaerobic digestion of organic waste and slurry to a CHP.
Manufactured and rigorously tested in our Bristol factory, our methane gas storage systems are built to the highest quality specification and yet work on very simple principles.
The gas-tight membrane has a factory sealed finish and is restrained within an outer skin of structural quality fabric which itself has a design life of up to 15 years. The complete working system is fully engineered to British Standard (BS) for year round use anywhere in the UK or across the globe.
Due to our patented and simple design, our Biogas Holders can be installed and commissioned within a day of arriving on site. This means large costs savings for the customer and reduced inconvenience for the site as a whole. In some cases a concrete foundation is not even necessary.
Our membrane Biogas Store is particularly suitable for on-farm anaerobic digestion due to its simple, robust design and low cost.
“Sustainable issues have always been important to Base – and we operate environmental policies throughout the business. This is an important step for us to be able to put our skills, knowledge and experience where it can really make a difference to sustainability. We’re very excited about our new biogas storage product and look forward to supporting the industry, through both partnership and supply.” Jon Morris, Head of Production
