Francis has been in the tensile fabric industry for seven years and has gone from being a sub-contracting rope access worker as part of a site team erecting tensile structures, a site supervisor covering all aspects of the industry from installing exterior structures and bespoke interior fit outs to maintenance of fabric structures, the Manager of the Maintenance Department at Architen Landrell and now a Project Manager for Base Structures.
Exterior projects Francis has been involved with are the erection of the Food Court at Chatham Maritime Retail Outlet; the Manchester Regional Athletics Stadium; the Merry Hill Shopping Centre. Interior projects include the fit out of 5 six storey atria at Barclays Canary Wharf HQ; shade canopies at the Wellcome Trust HQ and the East Winter Garden; Spiky and Cloud pods at the Queen Mary Hospital in East London. For three summers Francis was involved with the erection, dismantling and storage of the large temporary structure that covers the auditorium for Opera Holland Park’s summer performances.
